Precautions for Operating a Slitting Machine

Static electricity can cause malfunctions in the slitter's control system or even lead to damage. Before starting the machine, please ensure the static eliminator is switched on. (First, verify that the main power switch is engaged.)

Adjust the air supply pressure to (0.5–0.6) MPa.

Transport the master roll to the unwinding section. Select the appropriate 3-inch or 6-inch tapered adapter cones. Based on the diameter of the master roll, press the "Up" or "Down" button on the slitter to adjust the unwinding stand to the proper height. Visually align the unwinding stand with the width of the master roll-utilizing the stroke of the tapered cone cylinders-to position it correctly. Once aligned, rotate the cone-locking knob to securely clamp the master roll in place.

Press the "Up" or "Down" button again to fine-tune the height to the optimal level.

Thread the film through the machine according to the material path diagram, manually guiding it to the rewinding shaft position, and use the photoelectric sensor to assist with positioning.

Move the photoelectric sensor (electric eye) to the appropriate position and tighten its locking handwheel. (Adjust it to a position where it can accurately detect the film's edge or a specific guide line.) Then, press the "Auto Edge Guide" button to activate the automatic web guiding system. (Fine-tuning of the photoelectric sensor's position may be performed at this stage.)

Using the control lever on the unloading operation panel, open the rewinding shaft support mechanism to release the rewinding shaft. Mount the required number and size of paper cores onto the rewinding shaft. Then, use the control lever on the unloading panel to close and lock the rewinding shaft support, securing the shaft and engaging the auxiliary contact pressure roller. (Select the appropriate auxiliary contact pressure roller based on the specific slitting width.)

Install the slitting blades. Select the desired slitting mode and adjust the positions of the cutting knives. Utilize the infrared paper core positioning system to verify and correct the alignment of the paper cores, then adhere the leading edge of the slit film strips to the respective paper cores.

Verify that the length encoder is firmly pressed against the traction roller.

Confirm that all pre-startup procedures are complete. On the touchscreen interface, set the required parameters-such as film thickness, rewinding tension, and slitting length. Additionally, use the blower switch to activate the waste edge suction fan, directing the waste trim into the air duct.

Ensure that the speed setting indicator displays "0." Press the "Start" button. Once you have verified that there are no anomalies, press the "Speed Switch" button (ensuring it illuminates) to enable speed control, then use the acceleration knob to gradually increase the machine's operating speed.

Press the Stop button; the take-up shaft and drive roller will begin to decelerate and come to a complete stop. (Note: The take-up shaft and drive roller will automatically decelerate and stop when the take-up diameter and length approach their preset values.)

The Emergency Stop function is to be used only in emergency situations!
