Inspect the Equipment's Exterior
Before starting the slitting machine, carefully inspect its exterior for any signs of damage. Check the machine body for obvious dents or impact marks, and verify that the connections between all components are secure. If any loose parts or damage to the machine body are discovered, do not power on the equipment; it must be repaired first. Failure to do so could compromise the slitting machine's normal operation or even lead to safety accidents.
Clean the Equipment
Wipe down the slitting machine with a clean cloth, paying particular attention to the cutting blades and transmission components. The presence of dust or debris in these areas can negatively affect cutting precision and may accelerate equipment wear. Exercise caution during cleaning to avoid accidental contact with critical components or electrical wiring.
Check the Lubrication System
Verify that the oil level within the lubrication system falls within the normal operating range. Insufficient oil causes the equipment to operate under strain and increases the risk of component damage; conversely, excessive oil is also detrimental and may lead to issues such as leaks. If the oil level is incorrect, add or drain lubricant as specified in the machine's instruction manual.
Check the Electrical System
Inspect the slitting machine's electrical connections to ensure they are secure and check for any damaged wiring. Additionally, confirm that all buttons and indicator lights on the control panel are functioning correctly. Any issues within the electrical system could result in malfunctions upon startup or even trigger electrical accidents.
