The HH-1900 was built with both in mind. Its frame weighs 17 tons – reinforced and cross-braced. We've measured knife gap variation from left to right at less than 0.02mm at full speed. The closed-loop tension system uses a floating dancer and a pneumatic brake, with feedback every few milliseconds. Lateral drift stays under 0.5mm even when you're down to the roll core.
A heavy-duty carton plant in Hai Phong, Vietnam, runs 360gsm milk kraft – tough, fibrous stuff. They process 10 tons a day. Before the HH-1900, their old sheeter couldn't hold tension, and cuts were often skewed. Now they finish in one shift with less than 0.5% waste. The single rotary knife (Cr12MoV) handles the abrasive fibers well. Under normal use, they re-sharpen blades every 2-3 years, and a set lasts them about 5-6 years.
